Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device you use and however you read.

What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That’s the standard most UK organisations work to.
We write in plain English, give every page one clear main heading, describe images for people using screen readers, and build pages that work on a phone.
What we know isn’t right yet
We haven’t had the site independently tested. These are the problems we already know about:
PDF guides. Our downloadable guides haven’t been checked for screen readers. Every guide also has its own web page, which covers what’s inside.
Older posts. Some older blog posts were written before our current pages and may not meet the standard.
Other people’s content. Embedded videos and forms from other services follow those services’ own accessibility.
If something doesn’t work for you
Tell us which page, and what went wrong. We’ll reply, tell you what we’re going to do about it, and help you get the information another way in the meantime.
You can also ask for anything on this site in a different format, such as large print or plain text.
